On August 7, 2007, KTLA presented a special edition of Prime News decicated to the memory of Hal Fishman. Titled "A Tribute To Hal Fishman," nearly the entire program was devoted to Hal's life and his many interests. Segments on Hal's journalistic excellence and his aviation knowledge and skills were included, as well as many messages received from viewers, who expressed their grief upon hearing of Hal's passing.
